Honestly, if I were to start my own business, I would want it to be after the ideals that Google has set. I want a business that starts by trying to honestly meet people's needs. I like the fact that it has its own name and is not based on the names of the founders. I feel it allows the company to take off and transition easier when either you sell it or you die and someone else carries it on. Obviously it isn't the only way since Disney has done well since Walt died, but it is my preference because if they do take it in a different direction than you would like it won't be on your name (of course being in your name offers more incentive to stick with your morals, so it is just a preference not a stance).

Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. I am using the company name because their names are not commonly known (in my sphere) and what they stand for in the company is as much as what the company has become. With a mission statement of "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful", Google was clearly invented to improve life. The unofficial motto of "Don't be evil" also personifies what I desire to be/do in my life.
Google's success has come because of its genuine desire to do the right thing and help people. It illustrated the principle that if you want to be successful in the long run as a business the purpose has to be to serve the people. All businesses have some sort of service, even if they don't think they do. Any interaction with the outside world is a form of service and products give a form of service to the people who use the service.

First paragraph is based on knowledge from Wikipedia and the second paragraph is my opinion. Image from Google, really.
