Benjamin Franklin was a predominate character during the time that the United States of America was forming. He is known for several inventions that have helped improve life for many (especially those of you with glasses) and scientific advances (yay for electricity!). But he kept himself well rounded-writing, playing and writing music, and playing chess. His genius and foresight really helped in many major decisions regarding the formation of a new nation. We still listen to his advice that he left in Poor Richard's Almanac.
No wonder we put him on the $100 bill
